The most expensive sandwich in London

Sandwich shops are everywhere in London. Pret A Manager seems to be popping up on every streetcorner, every Tesco and Marks and Spencer sells sandwiches, so what does the seasoned sandwich lover do that is looking for something new? Head over to Selfridges for the most expensive sandwich in London. Here are the details:

* 600 grams
* over 2500 calories
* cost: 85 pounds sterling
* available at Selfridges deli counter

For those eager to recreate this ate home, the ingredients are:
* Two slices of freshly baked sourdough bread
* Roquette dressed with avocado oil
* Confit of sweet peppers and grain mustard
* Unpasteurized Brie de Meaux
* Sliced English plum tomatoes
* Fresh lobe foie grase
* Wagyu beef

Makes my lunch of pita bread with mustard and roasted chicken seem a little... well, cheap, in comparison ;-)
Here's the article in today's Guardian about the sandwich.
